INTC is said to be partnering with CUBE in mid-Feb in a collaborative engineering effort. The cos will be jointly developing a gluless interface between an INTC 2D/3D chip an a CUBE DVD device, sources close to INTC said. The interface will be very cost effective and potentially could be used in a sub-$1000 PC. Many graphics acceleratot cos are "bracing for impact". From Electronics News 1/26/98
