DraftKings higher as another Wall Street firm gushes May 5, 2020 1:04 PM ET|About: DraftKings Inc. (DKNG)|By: Clark Schultz, SA News Editor
Canaccord Genuity starts off coverage on DraftKings ( DKNG +2.8%) with a Buy rating as it becomes the latest firm to point to the significant revenue potential.
The firm thinks by 2026 about two-thirds of the country will live in a state where sports betting is legal.
"Online gambling in countries with more permissive regulatory mindsets has experienced dramatic growth to levels that far outstrip in person wagering. For example, in the UK, online sports betting is ~2.5x larger than the in-person variety, with betting activity per player nearly 5x larger. Three years ago in the US, sports betting was illegal outside of casinos. New Jersey led the way in 2018 by legalizing online sports betting, and to date eight states covering 13.6% of the US population have legalized OSB in some form; we see this expanding to ~65% by 2026."

Looks like a mid-term play that could payoff in a big way. Strong financial backing plus their management team while young is very competent.

Seriously! The only people who actually make sense nowadays are the ones who make decisions that don't make any sense :)

Disagree respectfully. For example, NFL football will have their season without fans in the stands. NHL planning July start again. More will watch from home, bet, and partake in fantasy since they cannot go to games. Huge industry. Interesting enough for Disney to take a 6% stake.
Also, note that Fantasy football has it own radio station, TV shows and podcasts all over the place.
Opportunity is huge here.
Not saying we will not see bump in the road during this crisis, but if not buy now, then when.

This price is with us thinking most sports will be cancelled. What happens if they actually come back without fans in the stands? So let's play this out in our heads NBA and NHL cancel their seasons DKNG goes to 12 ( Back up the truck and dollar cost down) Because when the leagues figure out a way to play.. This goes to 40.

Good luck with that, government moves in slow motion when it comes to highly regulated industries.
And by the way, they aren't profitable. How is a gambling company not profitable?

Odd that you're investing in something that you do not about but nonetheless.
DKNGW is a warrant that supposedly has a strike price of $11.50 out to 2026 but I cannot confirm and cannot find it anywhere other that Ishan, an author on this site and posters spoke of.
Something has to be wrong here as the Jan 2021/12.5 Call is almost priced the same.
Arbitrage or Garbitrage but something is out of line. More freaking crazy is that I cannot find anything on this lil interwebby thinga ma jig.

Watch for the pump. No reason to buy this when sports are not in session right now. Depending on if the June numbers spike NFL may not be playing this year (edited) 05 May 2020, 01:21 PM Reply6 Like

My bet... the NFL plays. They will be constantly testing the players and will play with little to no fans in the stands.

Every reason to buy. Markets think months in advance. If you wait for sports to begin, you'll miss the rally.
