Reading the mention about the '43 steel penny gave me an idea. How difficult would it be for CSTR to devise a way to identify rare or uncirculated coins?? Most persons are oblivious to the true value of a coin other than its face value. CSTR could notify the customer of his coin's value and return it if requested. OR CSTR could hold on to the coin and sell it to a coin collector/trader. Either method is beneficial to CSTR. Customers with a hope or hunch that they possess valuable old coins would now consider using the Coinstar machine. On the other hand, unsuspecting customers would be practically giving away valuable coins. Comments?
