The case was already closed except that administratively, because there was no wrongdoing found, when Strzok had it held open. Sally Yates, Acting AG at the time, apparently told Comey "no," and had a fit when she found out that the insubordinate, self-unaware, demigod Comey sent them anyway, in an attempt to create a crime under pretense of a Logan Act violation -- a hundred year old statute, probably unconstitutional, that has never been successfully enforced. Flynn also was incoming National Security Advisor, and like his predecessors, had every right and need to be talking with any and every foreign power.
The agents who interviewed Flynn didn't think he was lying. Their findings were altered. Comey's records just released said that it was a "close call." It's part of the DoJ submission to Judge Sullivan.
The FBI and Mueller's thugs threatened to prosecute Flynn's son, too, on a FARA violation if Flynn didn't plead guilty (Note: FARA violations in D.C. have long been commonplace. They are rectified by filing after the fact. Russia lobbyist Tony Podesta, John's brother, who was working for Manafort. lol.). Flynn had to sell his house. He incurred $6 million in legal fees with Eric Holder's law firm. And what about that secret, unpapered deal with DoJ to let Flynn's son off the hook if Flynn pled guilty. Not good.
And, it appears from Page's emails with Strzok that Obama knew about, and actually ran it -- so did Biden, Susan Rice, and others. They met with Comey, et al. at the time, and it was discussed, and all the action occurred contemporaneously. Today, a big part of this ongoing hoax is to protect Obama and Biden, at all costs.
The big question is, how much of the coverup of the prior Administration's crimes will continue, and who will take the fall in order to protect Biden and Obama; will anybody pay a legal price for the crimes they committed against Flynn and others, as well as the Constitution? And, will the federal government or anybody else reimburse Flynn for $6 million in legal fees that Eric Holder's firm billed Flynn? What about the damage to our country and the Constitution?
This is part of the biggest political scandal in US history, a seditious conspiracy to overthrow a duly elected President. The entire RUSSIA! story and everything that stems from it, from Mueller to Schiff, was a hoax. It makes Watergate, and its coverup look like a two-bit burglary.
They tried to undermine our very system of government.
