Then why did Trump and Barr submit Barr to the Senate for confirmation, and afterwards to testify before Congress? Oh, maybe because the Constitution calls for advice and consent; and there's always that Congressional oversight thing, too.

If Pelosi, Schiff, and Nadler weren't wasting time and distracting the world with RUSSIA!, Mueller, and Shampeachment, maybe they would have time to invite more Administration officials to pay them a visit to do oversight

Oh, there's that other, third branch of government that Congress likes to avail itself of to do battle with Trump, too... the courts.

If Trump were anything close to the threat he is accused of being, he would have cancelled the elections and declared himself King for life from the day he was inaugurated.
