NEWS---NEW YORK, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Furman Selz said on Tuesday it started coverage on shares of ADC Telecommunications Inc with a buy rating and added shares to its recommended list. -- Stock has fallen sharply, particularly after it said first quarter earnings would be essentially flat with last year's before non-recurring charges. -- Analyst Michael Neiberg said reasons for shortfall include seasonality, Asia, effects of customer consolidation and changes in regulation. -- Neiberg says believes these causes appear short-term in nature, with the possible exception of Asia. -- Company is very well-positioned to benefit from growth from emerging carriers, he said. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
