Good morning Jack,

Q1) Are you monitoring the sell in real time? and Did you always act on every sell signal in real time either vealie or sell the stock? Because timing does effect the result of AIM like act every 2 weeks or 30 days give different result.
A1) since the early '90s I've pre-calculated the price/share needed to satisfy AIM's Next Buy and Sell conditions for a minimum sized trade. (I usually use 5% or 10% of Portf Control as minimum trade amounts) Having these share prices in advance allows me to enter Good 'til Cancelled orders at those prices as limits. Then I don't have to worry about when the share price hits my target. I don't use calendar dates, just the market's action to trigger buy and sell Limit Orders.

Q2) 2. Where can i get value line appreciation potential value?
Value Line's Investment Survey is available in paper form at most public libraries. You'll want to looks at the Summary & Index section on the cover page. There it gives VL's median P/E, Yield and "Appreciation Potential." It looks like this:

The v-Wave is based on the 3-5 Year AP value. Relatively new is the 18 Month AP data. We started collecting it a few months ago and are going to try to incorporate it as well.
As an alternative, my good friend and fellow AIM user JDERB posts the results weekly on Investors Hub.
investorshub.advfn.com
That's an AIM discussion forum that's fairly active. JD posts there weekly giving the v-Wave value that's derived from Value Line's Appreciation Potential data. That would save you hunting up a Value Line subscription at the library! That said, I find VL to be a very good and comprehensive source of information on companies. So, maybe a trip to the library won't be a burden. Here's the v-Wave history through the end of April:

Best regards,
OAG Tom
