Barr's independence is very evident. And independence is the issue.

There is nothing at all wrong with synergy. It is certainly a desirable construct in the AG's office. That the two can accomplish great things together is positive. It is only when the AG is called on to act nefariously that it matters. There is not a hint of such a thing in their relationship.

Barr would never consider an objectively inappropriate act.
