simply, critical analysis of government is a form of patriotism.
protest is a form of patriotism.

protestants designed the u.s. (some good things, some not good things).
protestants were protesters (protest-ants), who protested the dominant catholic religion/ethic.
the u.s. is founded on 'protest.'

using K to criticize the current u.s. government is a form of protest that honors u.s. foundational beliefs--
it's patriotic.

i wouldn't say the same about jingoism, however...
as it seems to be based on opportunism...
or fear, maybe.
