All,
a wise lesson have to be learned from the past. MLV may outperform xDSL in any way (price, crosstalk, splitterless design, you name it), but in the end what the facto standard (and later the official standard)will be, shall be the type of products that will sold. Remember Philips with the superior Video2000 system, better quality than VHS, but VHS won, because of better marketing and market share Where is the market share for a propriarty product like MLV ?? I guess that US West wanted something cheap, easy to install, to BEAT THE CABLE GUY and that for the time beeing. Just my to guilders worth of an opinion. PS, don't forget that H&Q are one of those MM, who can use a downgrade to load up just before good earning a make couple of 100K. |
