low volume because so much stock bought at this level. you asked if i was playing volitility in recent post... what volitility. people are vervous. they don't know which way the cap equips are gowing, and other sectors look more certain. right now there's not much reason to sell, and very little to buy. if amat makes its number and says ho hum... look for more of the same... if it makes its number and says hey we got a few SEA problems but the rest of the world's more than making up for it... better... but as I have said before... there can be no real revaluation of semi stock prices without some consolidation. Something concrete to tell the market that values are in fact too low. we wax lyrical about amat's dominant position but in fact compared with maney other tech areas in which dominant providers make extraordinary profits by dictating price, amat has a long way to go.
