that's probably a lot more than you would like to hear
about the weather out here.
no no. weather is my chief vital sign of life in the universe -- including the
space weather of the cosmos and the currents in the oceans. when a zen
master says, "watch breath" ...i look at windy.com or sites like this:

the only reason i chain-smoke cigarettes is because the exhaled smoke
makes the air around me visible. <he's lying - there are a couple more reasons>
i like to watch... fluid dynamics... the forces of nature... smoke rings... etc., etc.

even more telling to watch than wind and water is electricity. it's not as easy to see
but it's even more primal and underlies the dynamic powers found in air and water.
you can see it when under the influence of psychedelic drugs like LSD and psilocybin.
...don't even get me started on fractals. <VBG>



one of the most enjoyable things i watched last fall and winter was windy.com while
greta was sailing across the atlantic from the UK to NY and then back from the
chesapeake to portugal with the kids on la vagabonde. translating the wind energies
on the map into navigation decisions for an ocean crossing is FUN for weather junkies
like you and me, no?
