Roger,

I did some homework on utilities. Most of them rely mainly on coal and nuclear power. The ones I found with greater reliance on oil and gas are CES, EUA, FPL, and LIL. For all four, expenditures on oil and gas are about half of fuel costs.

I have opened small short positions on T and EK, which I think will be in trouble in the long run. The latest Business Week cover story (a strong bearish indicator, according to some) was on T.

Another company that rebounded recently but is probably in trouble in the long run is SGI. I would like to see it hit $18 before shorting it.
