There IS a VERY large group that's been taking HCQ to treat their lupus and auto-immune disorders, long before the virus became a problem. Are they safe from covid-19? NO: Are People with Lupus Protected Against COVID-19? There is no evidence that taking hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) is effective in preventing a person from contracting the coronavirus (COVID-19).
