My complaint is that doctors in NYC were refusing to try what was obviously showing signs of success when they had nothing else.

You have been saying more than that. You have been attributing motive--the motive that they were doing so out of spite, not out of asymmetrical information or a differing professional opinion. Attributing motive, particularly a ugly motive, is going too far.

If you want to back off that, fine. I will let it rest until the next time you do it.
