About his followers freedumb

I would say that was a strategic error if I thought for a minute that he had the capacity to be strategic.

My interest in this has been from a management perspective. He wants to get things open which means getting people out of their shelters. They won't come out until they are comfortable doing so. If he were a smart person and/or a competent executive he would be doing everything he could to make them comfortable, which includes encouraging mask wearing. He is sabotaging his mission. Oh, the irony.

Instead he has framed this as part of the culture wars even though he has his side of that wrapped up already. His undermining masking is not in either his best interest or that of the country. It's one thing when he puts himself above the country. But when he acts against his own interest as well as that of the rest of us, it's beyond stupid.

If he personally doesn't want to wear a mask, fine. He can make an excuse. But encouraging those nitwits who are disrupting the effort to recover is not fine.

If there were a shred of intellectual legitimacy to making this a freedom issue, my libertarian self would have been on top of it. But there isn't.
