Patrice Larry Ellison hyped ORCL ; was evasive about Jobs as CEO

Was bullish on ORCL as the database driver for the NC marketplace stating it stood alone as industrial strength choice of the corporate world .

On AAPL he was asked by Bruce Francis about S. Jobs becoming AAPL's CEO . He applauded Jobs' interim CEO performance , wished Jobs would take the position but then gave the standard "Only Jobs knows for sure" adding "maybe even he (Jobs) doesn't know" .

Not sure on Claris but it looks like it is being "freed of AAPL" to independently provide both Windows and Mac database products .

L. Ellison was bullish on ORCL's database products and predicted a 25% growth rate.

AAPL states it wants to focus its efforts on "FileMaker" , Claris' new name techweb.com

Accounting effects are not covered and it appears to a product strategy change only .
