The worst thing that can happen is Sullivan refuses to let Flynn withdraw his plea, forces Flynn to go ahead with sentencing, and he receives a sentence. Then what? DOJ lets him walk and Trump pardons him. It's Sullivan who has painted himself into a corner. He obviously wants Flynn to go to prison, but has no power ultimately to make that happen. He can waste a lot of time.
