Since the "most logical line" 472 turned out to be two lines headed in different directions, I did wonder how that was going to get resolved. Apparently, thanks to the "thing", it hit the line. Both of it (or, close enough at the low end for gubmint werk anyway).
Now, about that thing. There's one in the center too. With the typical weird behavior. Hit both intersecting lines on either side...but don't get in the thing.
