All, I found this in my mailbox: LAYOFFS AT SPACE SYSTEMS/LORAL posted by Keith Stein Space Systems/Loral (SS/L) in Palo Alto, California is expected to announce layoffs of an estimated 300 full-time employees tomorrow, according to SS/L Public Affairs. Public Relations Manager, David Benton, would not provide any details on the layoff action but did confirm an official announcement would be made tomorrow. Sources to Launchspace indicate SS/L has implemented these layoffs "due to satellite contract changes".
