Based on the handy dandy Google translate of some of the comments, I think the volcano is somewhere
in Turkey. They have a bunch, including Ararat... of Noah fame.

I find the video strangely helpful for perspective. As in, we are not on the earth, we are part of the earth,
and we need to behave better... because Mother is watching... :)

Incidentally, fun fact: In research for my latest story, the largest shield volcano on earth is Mauna Loa one of the places they monitor CO2. Also in Hawaii is Mauna Kea, technically the tallest mountain on earth, but a chunk of the mountain is underneath ocean water, so Everest wears the crown.
To further add to the fun, the most massive volcano, Tamu Massif , is totally beneath the Pacific Ocean.
It's in the same league as Olympus Mons, considered the biggest volcano in the solar system.
When the polar icecaps turn to water, the shift of weight on the earth's crust, will bring some of these big boys
back to life...
