Republicans can't retain facts because facts prove they're losers. If a Democrat failed this miserably they'd demand his impeachment but they can't hold their elected officials accountable (Bush lying about WMDs, Trump lying about everything, Reagan lying about balancing the budget, etc.).

I suppose their incompetence will give us one good piece of news. WIth all the older people dying we'll save money on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Now that's gotta piss them off since they want to rid of all three.
