Trump retweeted a video that opens with a man saying, "The only good Democrat is a dead Democrat." Under the current climate is this a wise move? What are your thoughts?

I hate to say it but I’m sensing a very disturbing and vile pattern here. The cowboy here—Couy Griffin—says “I’ve come to a place where I’ve come to a conclusion where the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat,” and In Kentucky right-wing Republicans hanged the governor in effigy.

Griffin immediately said after his revolting opening sentence that he didn’t mean it in a physical sense but in a ‘political sense.’ Well now, pheww, we dodged the bullet there, except we don’t and won’t because this is hateful and to some it’s an open invitation to murder. I guess that’s what they do with human capital stock when they’ve dutifully ran their purpose.
You can’t call this dumbassery, nutfuckery or scumbaggery anymore, but I will tell you this, those terrorist, loser, shitty white boys with lynching and murdering Democrats fantasies, are cordially invited to gargle my ballsweat.
Obviously Trump retweeted this to pander to his base and to challenge, dare Twitter to delete his tweet so he can whine and screech on the top of his lungs; “Twitter is stifling free speech!” That is what this is.
And no, this is far from a wise move from Trump but he simply doesn’t care since he’s a narcissistic lying, hate filled, incompetent, dangerous, evil, authoritarian thug, who thrives and revels on doing this. There’s just no bottom to his depravity…
But this isn’t going to gain President Sociopath Who Cried Empathy a single vote, quite the opposite. And this is also not going to distract the American people of the fact that we just crossed 100,000 dead fellow Americans, not only Democrats, but independents and Republicans as well. People aren’t stupid, they know Trump’s desperate to divert attention away from a historic fiasco what his coronavirus response has been.
I just fear that this is just the prelude to much worse that is still to come… |
