DP, A savvy investor I trust felt the short interest would be in the 8M range because of recent developments. The 9,065,596 figure is pretty good news for those of us who believe the stock is gaining momentum. I recall TokyoVD indicated that the shorts will cover in earnest when VVUS finds 17. Cool enough, 9M shares is much more interesting than 8M.

Short interest retreated 11.2% from 12/24 to 1/27/98. Can you imagine what the percentage will be NEXT month if this run stays on course?
