Maybe people will wake up. I found it interesting how many government jobs are/were called essential during this pandemic. Until we recognize the size & scope of our government (local, County, State & Fed), it will not get smaller.

State unfunded pension liabilities are huge especially in California. The number of California retirees collecting a public pension of $100,000 or more hit an all-time high of 79,235 last year, up 85 percent since 2013.

For All State 56% of population works for STATE, now add Fed, City & County.
