Tenchu's Thoughts: CHILD ABUSE

This is horrific. A child just got pepper-sprayed by police. People are pouring milk over the poor girl's face, who is in absolute pain. Video link is below:
Protesters in Seattle pour milk over child's face after she was reportedly pepper-sprayed
At first glance, this is just another example of those oh-so-mean police officers displaying cruelty and barbarism. I mean, she's just a child, right?
But when I saw this, my first instinct was to ask, "WTF was she doing at a protest in the first place?"
You see the news reports. You see it in every major city. Almost no protest is completely 100% peaceful. There are always some people in every protest who are going to chuck rocks at the police, or destroy property, or resort to violence, just so their anger won't be ignored.
Maybe it's those "white supremacists" who are inciting all of the violence. Maybe it's those right-wing Trump supporters in disguise who are egging the police on. If you believe that, you are beyond stupid, but let's say for the moment that this is true. So what?
And let's also say for the moment that the police are indeed brutal and that they will not hesitate to pepper-spray a kid, or beat up peaceful protesters, or make examples out of black people and those who stand with them.
Knowing all of this, why would you bring a kid to such a dangerous place?
Maybe it's a teachable moment for her. Maybe she needs to see for herself history in the making. Maybe she needs to see for herself how people are willing to protest and stand up for justice and equal rights.
Fine.
But you as a parent need to keep her safe. You as a parent need to see when tensions in the air are rising. You as a parent need to GTFO with your child when push comes to shove, because it can in a moment's notice.
And if pepper-spray is being deployed, you as a parent need to be the shield between the oh-so-mean cops and your child.
This parent obviously did not do any of that.
Maybe he was cornered? Maybe the police somehow separated him and his daughter from the rest of the protesters, yanked him away from his child, and pressed the nozzle on the hot sauce dispenser?
I doubt it.
Most likely this parent is negligent. Most likely he's a dumbass who thought, "Well gee nothing could possibly go wrong if I take my kid to a protest."
But a part of me also suspects that he brought her along as a human shield, and that he wanted something like this to happen in order to (a) brag about it on social media, and (b) sue the police department for millions of dollars.
Now why would I suspect that? After all, the left would NEVER blatantly use children as puppets to advance an agenda, would they?

I rest my case.
