| | | I was in a really bad place in my late-teen to early twenties' life mostly due to my own waywardness. I then met someone who talked to me about the reality of Jesus Christ. I had been raised Roman Catholic, so I knew who he was, but not in a real way, or better yet, I cast off restraints I knew I shouldn't have and knowledge of the Lord went with them. Basically, I learned, "You reap what you sow."
Anyway, he invited me to a home church meeting. I was so intrigued to hear of a church meeting in a home I went. I was glad I did.
Several days later I wholeheartedly gave my life to the Lord. The next morning I awoke with a joy that seemed to positively affect my environment as well as me. Everything seemed good - peaceful, new. Like how cleaning an old thick film of dust off a windshield lets you see clearly; and the way it would make you feel. I knew where I was going instead of just guessing which way I should.
I noticed that bad habits and ways started to leave me. Some took longer than others, some are still wanting, I know. All those changes were caused by simple faith in the Lord 45 years ago. |
