Spin is wrong.

In New Orleans, peaceful protests only. But we’re a tranquil town by nature.

This is really, really bad for blacks and Dems. Their white militant supporters who are engaging in violence are doing the progressive cause no favors. Millions upon millions of nonparticipant but observant citizens are appalled. And they’re associating the Dems with it

It’s quite simple: Floyd was murdered, but grief and mourning are not being expressed and neither is rage. The looters are simply having fun, picking up free stuff, laughing and having a grand time. The others, the arsonists, the violent, are also not motivated by grief, mourning, or the spirit of protest. They are letting base instincts run loose.

What’s the point of torching a building? What can be accomplished? If it’s done in a black neighborhood, it’s a self-inflicted wound with long-term negative economic consequences.
