Hi Tim,

Although I think everything should be private commerce except law enforcement, some utilities and armed forces, privatized water companies can have problems. In my own experience in southeast Arizona, we have a quite a few private water companies. The problem is they have no competition because the distribution lines are owned by them. They tend to let the infrastructure go to hell while continuing to collect fees from the homeowners who have no alternative. How many water lines can exist down a rural road. Same holds true to natural gas and electric utilities. The folks I know here on private water companies have horrible water which isn't reliably available.

I dug my own well!
