Feraldo-Balanced budget- I hope will not become excuse to fail to revitalise America's ailing infrastructure and schools- A nation which refuses to uplift educational and human standards of future generations inevitably will suffer a sharp decline.

I wish US spends some well needed money on sectors which will pay rich dividends for future generations- US for me is a 'growth economy' needs lot of money in human development pockets like 'Harlems' and inner city inequalities need some rethink and new policies to bring in mainstream the unproductive segment of populace- the returns from defecit spendings in sectors where money is required to educate and provide better level of services will far exceed the borrowing cost, this will certainly put US so far unassailable leading technological edge further beyond the reach of OECD countries.

Artificially applied brakes to economies like 'Maastricht criterion' finally bring slow down and recession.

We need to fine tune this percarious balance of spending and returns on investments unfortunatley the fact remains that Govenment has never shown it self to be the best manager although it is a best collector. Feraldo I know you never expected this from a free market econometeer but but I am new age Republican slightly left to Newt Gingrich but a little right to Clinton. Leave it on you to decide where I stand.gg
