thread, CIO, VP's of INfo. Technology and Directors of Systems are viewing this deal as a real coup for compaq. more and more we are looking for single source vendors for the whole ball of wax. this is going to be a big selling point on large contracts for pcs and servers. plus cpq gets to sell those 3 million dollar decs and million dollar tandems. then there are the $500k proliant servers. but, the 50% margin on consulting is a winner. remember dec has a 34% gross margin and on their last qtr'ly they improved their gross margin almost 10% in one qtr.
