Here's something I wrote back in April. Our Grange president asked me to write something about Covid, given my RT background. Here's a snippet...
Some of you may have noticed that I sit during the pledge to the earth, or universe, or whatever. I started by taking a knee, but then I began wondering if I could get back up, so, I sit. I do it in memory of all those who have been violently killed by the universe. I don't mind pledging to the US or Calif, cuz they have pledged to mostly be there for me when I really need them, like now, Trump's total cluster-fuck being the exception. At least California is up to the task. And why do I need them? Cuz the universe is fuckin' tryin' to kill me, in a million different ways; bugs, fire,flood,earthquakes, gravity, space rocks, and lightening, and then it will try to kill the people trying to help me.
