The company's initial product will be a battery powered heavy duty truck release in 2021. A so-called class 8 truck is a semi-truck for hauling on highways. Nikola is developing fuel cell technology and plans to deliver a product around 2023. The tweet might mean that Nikola plans for the Badger truck may have changed, but Nikola still may need an OEM partner. OEM is short for original equipment manufacturer. An auto OEM, for instance, is a company such as General Motors (GM). I wonder who is supplying batteries to them and if the price jumped like this now, an announcement of an OEM backer is going to make the SP thru the roof. I just hope that they do not spread themselves too thin by tackling the FC technology. Eager to see what happens tomorrow.
