Re: Japan

Do not underestimate the Japanese's ability to swiftly and efficiently execute a reform plan--once they have reach a concensus. It may take them a decade to reach concensus, but watch out when they do reach one. Right now they may seem like the village idiot of the global economy, but just like they are overestimated in the '80s (by the likes of Thurow & Fallows), they are now underestimated.

Back to QCOM...

Jim Jubak, a writer of Microsoft Investor & Worth magazine put Qualcomm onto his "Jubak's picks" yesterday. His target price is $75. He is, however, like Ramsey--doesn't have much conviction for the next 2 quarters. The guy has some interesting read on tech stocks, but track record is so-so.

Incidentally, if you've bought everything pick that Jubak recommended, you would have ended up w/ 5,000 stocks in your portfolios. The guy throws out stock ideas like Tinkerbell ticks off yellow dusts. Actually I'm kinda worried that he has climbed onto the QCOM dogsled.
