I feel the same way. Remember that in the fall of 95, the old high had been reached in July 95 and it took until summer 96 to top it. It was after that that it climbed for the next six months almost non-stop.

The underestimation of Intel's 1996 performance and the beginnings of the realization that the underestimate was incorrect by the public served as one of the forces propelling the price upward in that period.

After all the negativity of the last 6 months behind us and with all the good news from Intel and the others like Compaq and Dell lately, it may be that the tide has turned. Sooner or later it was bound to. Better sooner than later - but it appears inevitable to me.
