A look at the Future of AOL ** NOT TO GOOD **

Found this article in the PCWEEK Sept 30, 1996 issue Page 62

"Get smart for free Net Access:
If the cost of Internet access has kept you from getting connected,
your troubles may be over. Smart World Commnunication Inc. of Danbury,
Conn., announced this month that it will begin providing free digital
Internal access to both home and corporate users. The company, a
reseller of cellular phone service and Internet service Provider
that develops and hosts Web sites, can provide the free access because
it sell ads. The Smart World network is already up and running in
metropolitian Washington and in Connecticut. The rest of the country
is scheduled for service by December. For more information, send
email to free@freeramp.com or visit freeramp.com"

------
IMHO, AOL's future doesn't look bright at all. If more companies
are offering Internet Access for free or at a very low price then
AOL definitely is loosing new subscribers for sure. I, myself, for
sure don't want to pay any money for any internet access if I can
get it for free.
