Democrats led the South in the war effort. 9 of the 11 statues Pelosi wants to remove from Washington DC were Democrats. The other two were unaffiliated. Jefferson Davis was a leading Democrat. The "defeated enemy" were rebellious Democrats. lol @ you. Not only that, but after the war, Democrats killed Black voters who were trying to exercise their right to vote. Read about the New Orleans Rebellion of 1866, for example, where Democrats killed 44 black voters and Black Republican politicians. Look it up Sparky. It's all there.
