MV, you right in some cases. But some folks can not get a signal for a over-the-air antenna that is worth watching. In most of the large cities where I have visited you rarely see an over-the-air antenna.IF a person has "Life Line" cable that is the same thing that cable's PRIMESTAR calls it's "Cable Plus". DISHnetwork is trying to beat the cable company. To put 1,2,maybe 3 dishes on each home to "Kill" cable.
You know the cable companies refer to ECHOSTAR/DISHNetwork as "The DEATHSTAR".
Who knows there may be a 4th dish to even some company to go after the "wired" phone companies.
I feel that Charlie will make the best use of the bandwith.
It is my hope that the FCC will let us move ECHO 1 or 2 into ECHO 4 slot and place ECHO 4 into it's slot.
