Several of the posters on the AOL Motley Fool Oil & Gas board have e-mailed CNBC regarding their coverage of the sector. The motivation behind the decision was "an announcement that Tidewater is an oil driller and therefore the earnings on TWD were effecting the drillers on Tuesday, AM". "They are not an oil driller and to associate them with drillers is a misrepresentation of information" Suggestions include the training of their reporters in a better understanding of the make-up of this sector and that CNBC should do their homework.
