Looks like the market is finally realizing that AVL actually has a mine (no longer just a speculative mining play).

Several factors may be contributing to the recent move: tax-loss sellers are now buying back their positions, improving sentiment towards the mining sector with gold hovering around $300, exposure from the Vancouver Mining Show, the pending announcement re. start of drill programs, and greater awareness among new investors (eg. subscribers would have just received the September 30th edition of 'Investor's Digest', 'What the Broker's Say' section, article entitled RESEARCH CAPITAL: "Big Whopper Discovery May Pay Off for Avalon". contains a synopsis of Ross Cranswick's detailed report on Avalon: "The stock is recommended as a speculative buy, with a one-year target price of $5.").

A preliminary (only 30 holes drilled + the deposit is open in all directions) resource calculation, metallurgical tests and the market study combined will enable brokers, analysts and shareholders to get a better appreciation of the MINIMUM value of this deposit. Then, add the potential upside from any rubidium, cesium and tantalum production at the BIG Whopper + value of other properties (eg. Wolf Mountain's PGE potential).
