Just a little Covid-19 related heads-up to pet owners ...

Hope and pray that you don’t need a vet these days. We just had our Shepherd go on a “4 day eating strike”. Initially we weren’t worried as short term (2 day) eating pauses have happened before but on day 3 we started to worry especially since she became rather lethargic.

Long story short ... We spent the better part of yesterday (day 4) to find a vet who could see us on short notice. All of them were booked out for weeks thanks to Covid-19 induced shortened hours / special non-contact procedures. We eventually found one with the help of friends some 50kms away. Luckily Bella started eating (very gingerly) just before we were ready to depart for this vet.

I have no real suggestion as to how anyone can avoid this problem aside from setting up routine vet appointments you know you need way ahead of time and researching nearby emergency clinics just in case you need one.
