Yep, last year due to my blood platelet issue (I stopped making them), I had to have 4 to 5-hour transfusions regularly. Plus other transfusions of medications that were supposed to fix the problem. Believe me, when someone is hooking you up for those sorts of treatments into your veins, you don't want an affirmative action woke-person taking care of you. I was blessed to find a genius hematologist/oncologist who had studied both here and in eastern Europe. He worked with others in the field for several months trying to figure out the problem and find a solution. Thankfully, he found a solution - gratefully, it is one pill a day. A rather rare (and expensive) new medication.
