Oops on Picton.
Jack & the Coconut’s great great grandfather Francois Alphonse Ganteaume worked for Thomas Picton, as administrator. Thank goodness the French treated their slaves better than the Anglos did, and gave some of the kids resultant schooling, land, dowry, and married them off well enough, so they get to live in Mayfair London, and start revolutions against the Anglos :0)
Bizarrely am in contact w/ some of relations on Trinidad w/r to land my grandma allowed them to use, pay tax on, but cannot per common law transfer w/o consent of direct descendants, amongst whom be Jack & the Coconut :0) One piece sits under St James place in Port of Spain.
Think of it, able to use the land as long as pay land tax, but cannot sell :0)
We have no particular issues w/ legacy, for one cannot choose such per whatever was is and shall be.
It is a shame that Mr Napoleon did not manage to luck out at Waterloo, some time after having been saved by another Ganteaume frenchempire.net but the fellow was able to help in your revolution of independence or 1812 or some such sameness google.com
Let us hope they do not rip apart the arc de triomph. The relevant cultural items in China seems well-enough protected. Somethings should survive.
Perhaps we best visit za.geoview.info Ganteaume Crescent nearby :0) before they change the name per cultural revolution here.
The place in France, being slightly more massive, should survive delmont-imaging.com
By all means, in the meantime, down w/ colonialism, imperialism, etc etc, neo colonialism / imperialism / revisionism, ...

I met my cousin Henry Peter in 2002. Turns out Henry Peter legacy.guardian.co.tt was taught elocution by my uncle google.com Percy’s first wife, and was given the family details by his father who wrote Percy during the hectic years of wars and revolutions. I thought it all fabulous and fascinating.
