I think these small and open label or uncontrolled studies can sometimes trick us.
I wish it would have worked! I'm actually surprised it didn't work in the most critical patients now because of the recent success dexamethasone showed. But maybe IL6 pathway is too narrow compared to the pleiotropic effects of steroids
