The NYT is an anti-Trump propaganda machine. Nothing they say can be trusted. They were wrong for 3 years about the Russia Hoax and this is more of the same.

As to corporate welfare, it is going on in spades and yes it is a form of socialism. What we have in the US is very far from Capitalism. The Federal Reserve itself is destroying the pricing mechanisms in Capitalism. We have very serious problems that need to be fixed to bring back Capitalism. However, I'll tell you what won't fix anything. Moving to Socialism and Communism. That will make it more unfair and will also ultimately result in the indiscriminate killings of anyone who disagrees with the people in power within that state.

The only future worth living in is a future of Democracy and Capitalism. We need to work to re-establish those things here. It may already be too late.
