Believe overall flu death is way down in HK this past season.

Do not know about the stats on mainland or anywhere else like Taiwan and China Towns but suspect same same.

The coming winter flu season should be telling.

Chinese wear masks perhaps either because the Chinese invented medical mask and feel comfortable w/ the habit, or due to it being sensible. The invention goes well with w/ ink, paper, printing, and ink-printed paper money, all very practical and topical items :0)

More seriously, there appears to be an implicit premise / supposition / conjecture/ assumption amongst the many that the effect (infectious-ness, lethality) would decrease w/ each evolution of the virus. Borne of experience or hope, wonder at what juncture one might conclude that the premise is valid, correct, and true? Or has the science already concluded so?
