| | | MalcomX was a very complicated Muslim who evolved over the years. Your twisted promotion of that MalcomX quote is noted. Since the 1960's clever Republicans have tried to paint the full black justice movement, and especially its white non-Muslim supporters, with select, out-of-context, and usually unattributed (early) MalcomX quotes.
Just as Trump tries to paint his broad majority opposition by the most radical left today. (Trump rants about "ANTIFA" who barely exist as a movement and have not murdered anyone -- silence about the RW militias like the "boogaloo boys" recent murders, including the African American Oakland federal building guard killing General Orange Bonepurs tried to pin on BLM protesters, before we had the truth.)
In earlier years, as a Muslim and nationalist he had a lot of differences with the machinations of modern liberal democracy and white "blue-eyed devils." I wonder if you said a lot of demagogic shit when you were young, too. I did and it doesn't define my evolution or politics today.
While it would make for different endings to all the videos and higher ratings, I doubt Trump Republicans would support his suggested reaction to body-slamming police or vigilantes:
“There is nothing in our book, the Koran, that teaches us to suffer peacefully. Our religion teaches us to be intelligent. Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hand on you, send him to the cemetery. That’s a good religion.”
— “Message to the Grass Roots,” speech, Nov. 1963, Detroit (published in Malcolm X Speaks, ch. 1, 1965).
I wonder if Liberty University teaches this:
“The Negro revolution is controlled by foxy white liberals, by the Government itself. But the Black Revolution is controlled only by God.” — Speech, Dec. 1, 1963, New York City.
