Dear James,
Just for some thought. When Peter withdrew from the Gentiles it is mentioned right after that, a letter was composed from the Elders of the Church in Jerusalem to the Gentiles stating they need to refrain from drinking blood and sexual imorality. I think this is a beautiful example of the growth of both the Jews and the Gentiles who had no training in these matters. Maybe Peter and the others retreated to seek the Lords will regarding the new Gentile believers without offending them. Just some thought. I read Acts 19:1-7 in a Bible study and thought this is exactly what we are talking about. Only the one baptism is required the other is beneficial for repentance. Honestly it is better to do to much than to little. But what you tell others is the issue. I have really enjoyed yours and Janes posts. Have a blessed day, Nancy
