George,

Some really interesting developments are worth noting:

Cytometric assessing of early-stage abberant cellular DNA in pulmonary sputum is; addressing a significantly higher dollar (per test) compensated price-point range than current (per test) cervical detection compensation. Labs should definitely become interested when this unit positively impacts a higher margin area.

Also the total 'potential' pulmonary market testing area I believe was mentioned at $3B as opposed to the $2B for the cervical cancer market.

If AccuMed's Savant device eventually becomes a de-facto pulmonary screening device, and eventually is able to more cost effectively screen and detect earlier developmental stage abberrant cervical tissues..... then you may be right. The nice thing is that it doesn't dispose of their; existing cytopathology lines because it still incorporates the AcCell/TracCell device in the diagnosis!!

Talk about a goal to shoot for:

1)Have cytometric evaluation (Savant) leap-frog existing methodology.
2)Send the competition back to the drawing board before they can effectively launch their relatively new, yet functionally obsolete products.
3)Augment the sale of the Savant with an increased need for the companion AcCell/TracCell.
4)Bolster your market dominance in a total combined $5B market.
5)Dramatically increase early assessment of cancer in two areas.

Frank
