The current prices of the airline group reflect a growing concern that Cover-19 cases are increasing and that existing interventions (staying at home, wearing masks, avoiding indoor and outdoor crowds), along with lack of treatments or vaccines are prolonging the economic downturn, and maybe even exacerbating it.

As I've mentioned earlier, I don't like the entire group because as a group they are not well managed, compared to many tech and biotech companies. But the prospects for stocks in general, given the inability of the U.S. to control the spread of the virus, gives me a lot of worry that few, if any stock investments are viable. In more than 60 years since I began investing, I cannot recall having seen a worse time for stocks. In previous times when the economy was in trouble, there were at least some experts and supporting politicians courageous enough to take effective action. Not so today.
